The Computer Club

This club starts in Term 2 and meetings are held in a computer lab at lunchtime once a week. The aim is to get like-minded students from Years 7 to 12 together to share the joys of coding and problem solving. It allows younger students to get help from older students with code and to build networks to allow informal dialogue between students with coding. There are no formal lessons in the club. However, there are plenty of online training videos/sites to complete and students can work on their own projects with the help of others. It also supports the participation in the Groklearning.com challenges – see next item. School merit points are awarded for club membership.
